Event Details

I've had many requests for a workshop on security, so I've very pleased to be working with Sharon Richardson from JoiningDots.net for EUSP Live Online session. As former Lead Technology Specialist for SharePoint in the UK, Sharon brings real world experience to her workshop.

We will be going over best practices for setting up a security policy, as well as ways to manage security on sites through the use of customized permission levels, creation of security groups, and ways for handling requests for security on specific sets of documents.

This session will be especially helpful for site managers and site collection managers who have not had formal training in SharePoint security and permissions. At the conclusion of this session, you will be able to implement and maintain security policies and procedures on your SharePoint sites through proven best practices and delivered by an experienced, professional SharePoint technologist.

Review the slidedeck below to get an overview of what will be covered in the session.

About the Presenters

Sharon Richardson is founder and principal consultant for Joining Dots Ltd, an independent consultancy helping organisations apply emerging trends and technologies to improve the use and value of information.

For technology-specific advice, Sharon has specialised in SharePoint products and services for over 10 years, since participating on the ‘Tahoe’ development program in 1999 (Tahoe was the codename for the first version of SharePoint).

Sharon joined Microsoft in 2000 and spent six years as Lead Technology Specialist for SharePoint across the UK and Europe. Prior to Microsoft she worked in multi-nationals for eight years building information and knowledge-based systems.

Joining Dots was founded in 2006 to help bridge gaps between the potential new technology offers and the benefits to be realised in business and social systems.

The Live Online Workshop Guarantee

I realize it is hard to purchase a workshop online without knowing me or having experience with how live online training works, so here's my guarantee:

If, after taking the workshop, you decide the solution isn't what you are looking for, I will personally refund your entire registration fee and you get to keep all the resources from the project.

If you're not happy, I'm not happy. I want you to be completely satisified with the workshop and the resources. My main form of marketing is word of mouth, with workshop participants as my evangelists. I want you as one of those evangelists, and I'll do what's necessary to make things right.

I  appreciate your trust and support and look forward to seeing you at the session.

This event exceeded all my expectations.  I learned so much and left with some very valuable tools that will be used in many of the sites that I manage. -- Peter (read a comprehesive review)
